Perfume Genius and The xx, two artists with critically acclaimed new releases, are joining forces for a tour that was announced yesterday. The A.V. Club called No Shape, the latest from Perfume Genius’ Mike Hadreas, ”diverse, sexy, and, for lack of a better word, feminine,” noting its debt to Kate Bush. Meanwhile, earlier this year, we deemed I See You “the most eclectic, multidimensional, and ambitious album of The xx’s young career.”
So that’s a pretty excellent pairing to begin performing shows starting in September in Santa Barbara. They will then travel throughout the U.S. through most of the following month.
