There’s no shortage of auteur television shows depicting the day-to-day lives of working comedians—Seinfeld, I’m Sorry, I’m Dying Up Here, and now Crashing. Pete Holmes’ semi-autobiographical HBO series examines the life of a struggling comedian in New York after his first wife cheated on him, and he decided to pursue comedy full-time.
