Peter Hook, anxious as ever to remind people that he played bass in Joy Division, will be performing the band’s entire two-album catalog live at a church in Macclesfield, England in May. Together with his group The Light, Hook has dubbed the concert “So This Is Permanence,” which is a reference to a line in “Twenty Four Hours.”As more rabid Joy Division fans know, Macclesfield is where Joy Division got started, and the church where the concert is taking place—Christ Church, right in the center of town—is where the late Ian Curtis went when he was a kid. Proceeds from the show will be donated to both the Epilepsy Society and the Churches Conservation Trust.
