Peter Jackson taking The Hobbit away from New Zealand
Still smarting over a recent labor dispute launched by actors’ unions in Australia and New Zealand, director Peter Jackson has announced that he will take his Hobbit-ball and go, well, anywhere but home. In a statement released today, Jackson said that even if the ban against actors working with Jackson were lifted by the unions, “the damage inflicted on our film industry…is long since done,” and that he is already preparing to move his cursed production to some other country. Look out, some other country!
