Deadline reports that Peter Weller—whom we’re supposed to call a “veteran screen and stage actor,” but whom we much prefer to call “the guy from RoboCop and The Adventures Of Buckaroo Banzai Across The 8th Dimension, which were both awesome”—has joined the increasingly tumescent cast of Dexter, adding to a roster of previously announced guest stars angling for Emmy nominations this season like Julia Stiles and Jonny Lee Miller. Weller will star in eight of the season’s 12 episodes as “a troubled Miami Metro police officer who gets caught up in an internal affairs investigation.” Sounds like he ignored one of the Prime Directives! and other RoboCop jokes, as you see fit.
