Pharrell Williams to join The Voice next season
In what is looking increasingly like an elaborate plot of world domination, Pharrell Williams continues to integrate himself into everything America loves. Last year it was robots, animated family-friendly comedies, sex, and weird hats. Now it looks like 2014 will be the year Pharrell takes over TV singing competitions. As reported by Entertainment Weekly, he’ll be joining the next season of NBC’s The Voice as one of its spinning chair-riding coaches. As of right now, Pharrell is the only one confirmed to take one of the seats, with the rest of the four-person crew expected to be announced later. Given that Cee Lo Green recently said he wouldn’t be returning, if the show’s usual model is anything to go by, they’ll fill the rest of the chairs with two white guys (probably Adam Levine and Blake Shelton) and a woman. Also, considering the last time The Voice announced someone new was joining the show, Pharrell is probably going to consciously uncouple from Gwyneth Paltrow soon.
