Phil Spector found guilty of murder

Phil Spector has been found guilty of murder. According to the L.A. Times:

Spector faces at least 18 years in prison if convicted of second-degree murder in the death of Lana Clarkson, an actress shot in the legendary music producer’s Alhambra mansion six years ago. A lesser charge, involuntary manslaughter, carries two to four years in prison.

Spector is best known as the producer behind the "Wall Of Sound" style  that allowed him to craft hit after hit for the Ronettes, the Crystals, the Righteous Brothers, Darlene Love and others in the early 1960s. After his early, hitmaking days, Spector worked with the Beatles, Leonard Cohen, the Ramones and others. Dogged by tales of strange, violent behavior, he worked less and entered a period of virtual seclusion until reentering the spotlight with the news of Clarkson's death in 2003.
