Pitch Perfect 3 has solved its whole lack-of-a-director issue. Elizabeth Banks, who helmed the second aca-installment of the aca-franchise and also acts in the movies, stepped away from the third. But yesterday she helped announce on Twitter that Trish Sie will be taking over her behind-the-camera duties:
Sie has only directed one feature, but she seems like a—dare we say it?—pitch perfect fit for the series about the wild world of college a cappella. (We’re sorry for that one. Truly.) Sie’s major credit is Step Up All In, so she’s seasoned at taking the reins of an established property. But she’s also known for working on those wacky OK Go videos, like the one without gravity and the one on treadmills. If nothing else, we expect the next Pitch Perfect to be very well choreographed.
