Pity the poor Kreayshawn ghostwriter who's still stuck in obscurity, eating Spam
If you're the sort who frequents hip music blogs and/or reasonably cool strip clubs, there's a good chance you've been pummeled with one of the year's most persistent earworms, Kreayshawn's "Gucci Gucci." This might come as a shock to those who subscribe to the sanctity of Kreayshawn's artistic persona, but "Gucci Gucci" was guided by the helping hand of 25-year-old ghostwriter Speak, an aspiring rapper from California who's watched Kreayshawn's success (which includes a sizable record contract with Columbia) from the shadows, "knowing you had a part in that, but eating Spam for dinner," he said in a recent interview with L.A. Weekly.
