Pixies bring Doolittle tour back to U.S. in September
Among the nostalgic cash-ins we can get behind, the Pixies’ current Doolittle tour—where the band plays that record in its entirety plus its B-sides—is way, way up there, next to anything that could put Charles Grodin back on movie screens. So today’s announcement (via Pitchfork) that the band plans to bring it back for 11 more U.S. shows is welcome news indeed. As with all shows on this tour, each performance will be recorded live and then made instantly available on CD afterward, both at the merch table and at doolittlelive.com. Noisenik duo Fuck Buttons will open.
