Planet Of The Apes prequel has a new, more brand recognition-y name

The upcoming prequel to Planet Of The Apes, in which James Franco tinkers with genetic experimentation and unwittingly creates a war between humans and intelligent primates—and also stars in a Planet Of The Apes prequel, ho ho—has undergone yet another slight title shift. According to /Film, the project once known as Caesar (after a pivotal character in Conquest Of The Planet Of The Apes), then known as Caesar: Rise Of The Apes, then more recently called Rise Of The Apes now bears the slightly more unwieldy title Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, so that it’s perfectly clear which apes we’re talking about here. Not just any apes, mind, but specifically, those apes with the planet—the one from those movies—whose planet will now rise, metaphorically speaking, to replace that earlier, non-ape planet. Of course, none of this would have been necessary had Tony Danza and Danny DeVito not stolen Going Ape! all those years ago.
