Please, Disney: Let Migos be the hyenas in The Lion King

The cast of Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of The Lion King is already preposterously stacked, from beloved figures like Donald Glover and Beyoncé getting top billing to respected comedians like Eric Andre, John Oliver, and Keegan-Michael Key filling out the roster. It reads like one of those “who should play whom in a modern update” day-dream listicles come to glorious life. The much-circulated cast listing last week, though, only mentioned one person (Florence Kasumba) playing the film’s memorable trio of scheming hyenas, originally voiced by Whoopi Goldberg, Cheech Marin, and Jim Cummings. All three members of the group have spent the intervening months working on a follow-up and popping up on every damn track they can, refusing to stay out of the limelight for a second. Offset even got engaged the Queen Regent Of 2017 Rap, Cardi B.

Quavo’s tweet inspired a rich round of prognostication, all of which only reiterates what a radical idea it is:

And hey: We already know Donald Glover is a fan. Imagine them redoing this:
