Polaris to re-release Music From The Adventures Of Pete And Pete on vinyl
Polaris, the band best known for providing the soundtrack to the cult Nickelodeon classic The Adventures Of Pete And Pete, has had a nice little renaissance over the last few years. The group reunited back in 2012 for a charity concert before putting together a new music video and a national tour in 2014. Now the band is steering hard into the warm waters of nostalgia by re-releasing its only album, 1999’s Music From The Adventures Of Pete And Pete, on vinyl for this year’s Record Store Day on April 18. The album features the show’s title theme, “Hey Sandy,” as well as “Summerbaby” (the song that gets stuck in Little Pete’s head in “Hard Day’s Pete”), and “She Is Staggering,” featured below, the perfect love song for anyone who’s a girl, and a friend, but not a girlfriend. And if you missed all of their dates last year, Polaris is also touring again this spring, with dates in Boston, Portland, New York, and several other cities across the U.S.
