Police nab culprit in Drake tour bus jewelry heist

Highlights from Drake’s Summer Sixteen tour include being joined on stage by Kanye West to announce their upcoming collaboration; sharing a stage with Eminem to quash rumors of a falling-out; and performing with (and possibly winning back) Rihanna. But into each life a little rain must fall, so $3 million worth of jewelry was stolen from his tour bus while at the Talking Stick Arena in Phoenix. The baubles snatched in the burglary actually belong to his tour DJ, Future The Prince (not to be confused with Future, the artist who performed with Drake throughout the tour). But there’s a happy ending—the theft was reported on Wednesday, and Phoenix police have already recovered the valuables and arrested a suspect.

TMZ reports that Phoenix police arrested a man on the Arizona State University campus, who had the jewelry in a briefcase in his possession. The suspect, who reportedly worked at the arena occasionally, is being charged with felony burglary.
