Politics claims another victim as Vince Neil is uninvited from Trump’s inauguration

Yesterday, we reported that former Mötley Crüe singer (and future Celebrity Apprentice cast member) Vince Neil would be playing at President-Elect Donald Trump’s inaugural on January 20. At the time, the booking seemed like a natural bit of reality show synergy, given Trump’s career-making history with the show.

But now, it looks like this match in celebrity boardroom heaven is not to be, with TMZ reporting that Neil has been “uninvited” from the inaugural. It’s not 100 percent clear what happened, but from the sound of it, Neil and his band were apparently booked for the gig two months in advance of the election, on the understanding that, in the singer’s own words, “It doesn’t matter who won, it’s still a big party,” and that’s exactly where you want Vince Neil to be. But once it became clear that the Republican party had been victorious, Neil’s band—which had already been vetted by Secret Service—was asked not to attend. (To be clear, nobody at the White House, current or future, has commented on this story, so we’ve only got Neil’s word that any of this happened. He seems pretty straightforward about it in the TMZ video, though.)
