Pop stars: Do you know where your daughters are?

Normally we here at the Newswire try to stay away from tabloid gossip, but fuck it: It's Friday, and besides Comic-Con, there's not a whole lot going on. Anyhoo (and with apologies to Amelie)…

Lindsay Lohan may be grabbing all the headlines this week, but a couple of other famous young starlets—both of them, strangely enough, the daughters of pop singers who haven't had a hit in decades—are also gunning for some negative attention. Really, what do these girls have to do to make their daddies love them?

Lionel Richie's daughter Nicole—following in the footsteps of her Simple Life co-star Paris Hilton—was sentenced to 90 hours in jail and three years of probation for driving under the influence of marijuana and Vicodin last December, where she was caught heading the wrong way on the Burbank freeway. Superior Court Commissioner Steven Lubell told Richie she was "very lucky that no one was hurt or killed." (Should Richie ever kill someone, incidentally, she would be charged with murder—as opposed to manslaughter—because she now has two DUI convictions on her record. Fun fact!)

Rod Stewart's daughter, "actress" Kimberly has managed to avoid jail time (so far), but some would probably argue that she's been sentenced to a much worse fate: servicing aging rocker Tommy Lee. Somewhat surprisingly, Rod has given his "seal of approval" to Lee—although apparently he was "in hysterics" when Lee hired a helicopter to whisk Kimberly to San Diego for a date.

Oh, and what the hell. BONUS LOHAN UPDATE: Not only was the cocaine found in Lindsay's pants so totally not hers, it turns out she wasn't even driving! Today Lohan proclaimed her innocence and blamed "the black kid." (We urge you to check out this excerpt from TMZ's breathless recounting of Lindsay's Last Stand if only for this quote: "I can't get in trouble. I'm a celebrity. I can do whatever the fuck I want.")
