Well friends, the poster for Big Fan, the upcoming directorial debut of former Onion editor/ The Wrestler screenwriter Robert Siegel just showed up in my inbox. I'm perhaps a little biased because some of my friends worked on the film but Big Fan is fucking fantastic; brutally funny, evisceratingly dark, brilliantly acted and written and graced with a revelatory lead performance from Oswalt every bit as powerful and unforgettable as Mickey Rourke's comeback turn in The Wrestler.

Be excited. Be very excited. Big Fan hits theaters August 28th.
