Power Ranger arrested for fatally stabbing his roommate

Actor Ricardo Medina Jr., 36, was apprehended at his residence in Palmdale, CA, over the weekend after the stabbing death of his roommate, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The actor played the Red Wild Force Ranger on Power Rangers Wild Force in 2002 and continues to be involved with the Power Rangers franchise, most recently voicing the villain Deker for Power Rangers Samurai.

According to police, Medina was involved in a verbal disagreement with his roommate, Joshua Sutter, that turned physical. At some point, Medina and his girlfriend entered his bedroom and closed the door, and when Sutter forced his way in, Medina stabbed him in the abdomen once with a sword. Medina then called 911 and waited for detectives. When authorities arrived, Sutter was taken to the hospital where he later died, according to ABC News. Medina has been booked for murder, with bail set at $1 million.
