Power Rangers actor pleads guilty to killing roommate
In 2015, Power Rangers actor Ricardo Medina Jr. was arrested for stabbing his roommate with a sword, and despite a later report suggesting that he wouldn’t end up facing charges, Medina did eventually get charged with murder last year. Now, according to Variety, he has pleaded guilty to manslaughter and will be facing six years in prison instead of the 26 years to life he could’ve faced had he not decided to enter a guilty plea. Medina’s sentencing will be held on March 30.
Though not a member of the original Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers cast, Medina did appear in 40 episodes of Power Rangers Wild Force in 2002 and rejoined the series to voice a villain in 24 episodes of Power Rangers Samurai in 2011. Twitch is still streaming its enormous Power Rangers marathon in honor of the upcoming movie, so things might get a little uncomfortable when it reaches those seasons.
