HBO's newest series will be based on Preacher, the Vertigo comics series about a holy man with supernatural powers and (of course) a related tragedy in his past. His fellow protagonists include an Irish vampire, which should make for enough witty banter that HBO watchers will forget all about Sex And The City. Hollywood Reporter has details.
