Prepare to say goodbye with this trailer for Peter Capaldi’s final season of Doctor Who
At the end of the next season of Doctor Who, both Peter Capaldi and longtime showrunner Steven Moffat will be stepping down, and now BBC America has released a full trailer for their final year traveling through time and space together. You wouldn’t really know it’s the end of an era from this trailer, though, which is solidly in the “traveling with The Doctor is fun” mode and not the “it’s sad when The Doctor regenerates” mode, but we’ll surely get to that later in the year. As for what’s actually going on here, we see a bit of Pearl Mackie’s new companion, Michelle Gomez’s Missy, and a number of classic Doctor Who baddies—including a quick glimpse at one that technically hasn’t been on the show in a very long time.
Doctor Who will premiere on BBC America on April 15.
