President Snow sends a warning in the first teaser for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I

In keeping with the propaganda theme of the film’s official posters, the first teaser trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I plays out as a political message from Donald Sutherland’s stoic President Snow airing on Capitol TV. Fans will remember that Catching Fire ended with Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) rescued by the rebellion, and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) captured by the Capitol. With that rebellion growing stronger, Snow urges the people of Panem to respect their political leaders, lest they be starved or killed. Snow promotes “unity, prosperity, and sacrifice,” before the camera pans out to reveal an unexpected ally at his side. It’s a chilling, stylized teaser for the film that hits theaters on November 21.
