Pretty much every young actor who isn't James Franco or Ryan Reynolds being considered for next Bourne film
Writer-director Tony Gilroy has big plans for continuing the Jason Bourne franchise (plans that do not, unfortunately, involve Jason Bourne), but no matter what exciting stuff he has in store for his next sleeper agent story, there’s just no getting around that Matt Damon-sized hole. So the race is on to fill it with just about every young actor in Hollywood. Seriously: According to Deadline, right now the list of potentials includes Joel Edgerton, Josh Hartnett, Jake Gyllenhaal, Tobey Maguire, Paul Dano, Michael Pitt, Oscar Isaac, Garrett Hedlund, Michael Fassbender, Luke Evans, Alex Pettyfer, Taylor Kitsch, and Benjamin Walker—a diverse group that excludes Ryan Reynolds and James Franco, we can only assume, because they’re already going to be in everything else.
