Catching a preview screening of "Notorious" recently reminded me how much I love the man's music. 2Pac may have made for a better icon but B.I.G was a far superior rapper and writer. As a wise man once said, Biggie Smalls is the illest, whereas your style is played out like Arnold with that "Whatchu talking bout, Willis?" The biopic has generated a surge of renewed interest in the man's life and music and prompted the release of two previously unreleased demos: the ferocious "Microphone Murderer" and the less awe-inspiring but still neato and aptly titled "Guaranteed Raw". These demos give fans a glimpse into what B.I.G sounded like before Puffy Diddified the legendary MC. Good stuff.
