Like a hazy vision floating in a mist of purple fog, Prince has announced plans to perform surprise concerts all around the U.S. starting next week. So far, only one show on the Hit And Run tour—Louisville, Kentucky on March 14—has been announced, but given that Prince did sort of the same thing last year in the U.K. and Europe, additional show information could come at a moment’s notice. Interestingly, there’s also no hint as to what size venues Prince will be playing on this run, meaning he could mythically appear anywhere from a stadium to a Waffle House, only to ramble through a bunch of blues jams that absolutely aren’t “Let’s Go Crazy.” Or he could play only hits. With Prince, you never know.
