Prince may have recently made an abrupt departure from the Internet, but the world now has visual proof that it wasn’t because he flew away on a purple spaceship to Planet Lovesexy (or whatever). Video has surfaced of Prince jumping on stage during a recent jazz night performance at the W Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles, where he proceeds to shred some guitar. In the video, onlookers—including the married couple musicians he so rudely interrupted, Ryan Edgar and Nikki Leonti—stand by starstruck as he plays a solo over a jazz version of The Beatles’ “With A Little Help From My Friends.” Prince, who currently has two new albums out, looks at ease, perhaps because it’s hardly the first time dude’s torn it up on a Beatles cover.
