According to music news site/degree-bearing part of this complete breakfast Dr. Funkenberry, an anonymous source with the show confirmed The Purple One’s involvement, stating that Prince pitched the premise of the episode himself. (Thereby suggesting there’s some plum-lined drawer within the Paisley Park complex stuffed with Prince-penned teleplays, confirming the long-held speculation that “Pussy Control” began its life as an Eight Is Enough spec script.)
