Princess Superstar has been kicking around the hip-hop and club scene for years now, and while she’s now transitioned into the “running a hip-hop class for 1-8 year olds in Williamsburg” portion of her life, she’s still putting out new and relevant records. Her latest EP, I’m A Firecracker, finds her collaborating with The Rural, a duo who have worked with Gorillaz, and legendary producer Richard Gottehrer, who’s worked with both Blondie and The Go-Go’s. Below, A.V. Club readers can check out “Make You Happy,” one of the tracks off the EP. It’s a spacey, almost Beck-like pop cut with some solid lyrical refs.
