Prophets Of Rage recording new album, will definitely take Trump down this time

As a supergroup featuring members of Rage Against The Machine, Cypress Hill, and Public Enemy that made its debut just in time to “cause a ruckus” at the Republican National Convention in 2016, Prophets Of Rage essentially set itself up as the first voice of the anti-Trump movement that we all now semi-ironically refer to as “the resistance.” Unfortunately, the band’s self-titled debut wasn’t very good, possibly reflecting the ineffectiveness some of us feel when constantly bombarded by news about the Trump administration’s latest monstrous acts. However, like the resistance itself, nothing can keep Prophets Of Rage down for long.

According to Billboard, Prophets Of Rage has recently finished recording a second album, and the band will release some kind of new music this Saturday. Bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk told KaaosTV that the new album is 13-tracks long and that they’re “just putting [it] together” right now, which means the music coming in a few days is a single and not a Beyoncé-style surprise album drop.
