PSA: Chat with The A.V. Club’s editor-in-chief today at 2 p.m. Central
Hello, friends. John Teti here, your editor-in-chief. As a staff, we spend almost all our time on The A.V. Club talking about the art that inspires, delights, and challenges us, and we spend little time talking about The A.V. Club itself. That is as it should be. But our most active readers often ask me to tell them more about the thought process and inner workings behind the site. And I have a selfish interest in such exchanges, too, because when readers contact me to share their thoughts on The A.V. Club, I’m reliably enlightened by their perspective.
We should talk more, is what I’m saying. That’s why later today—at 2 p.m. Central, to be precise—I’ll be holding our first “Ask The Editor-In-Chief” Q&A session. You can ask me behind-the-scenes stuff, offer feedback or concerns, make suggestions for coverage, tell me what you enjoy on the site and would like to see more of, ask silly jokey questions, etc. Anything goes, as long as it stays civil and fun.
To simplify matters, we won’t be using a special live chat widget or some such. I’ll just post another Newswire at 2, and we’ll converse in the comment threads of that article. (I’m closing the comments on this announcement, so folks don’t get confused and post in the wrong place.) We’ll go for about an hour, and I’ll try to respond to as many comments as I can. I love the community we have here, so I’m excited to talk with you all, learn from you, and hopefully offer you insight on The A.V. Club. See you this afternoon!
