Missed yesterday: Guardian reports that Penguin and academic researchers is testing the collaborative and creative potential of, apparently, just whoever the hell comes along with a novel called A Million Penguins, which anyone can write and edit—but without credit, unless you count the editing history. It's now up to its seventh chapter, which begins:
Big Tony felt the bullet penetrating his right lung. He caught a quick glimpse of the gunman as he collapsed, everything going horizontal. A second bullet hit the back of his head, his last thought: GO BEARS!
