Pumpkinhead is getting rebooted, probably still won’t have a pumpkin for a head

Block intends to make a new Pumpkinhead for a new generation, albeit one that he says will reference the “iconic shots and iconic lines” of Oscar-winning visual effects artist Stan Winston’s directorial debut. (We can’t wait for the opening night cheers of recognition when one of the new movie’s disposable teens tells someone they’re taking their “balls home in a knapsack,” as a reference to the original film.) Block hasn’t lined up a cast or director yet, but we can’t imagine that Henricksen—who appeared in not just the first Pumpkinhead movie, but also its two made-for-TV Syfy sequels in the mid-2000s—won’t be stopping by to pick up a check for this one, too.
