Put the Olympics on paws and watch Hallmark’s American Rescue Dog Show
Here’s what’s up in the world of television for Monday, February 19. All times are Eastern.
Top pick
The American Rescue Dog Show (Hallmark, 8 p.m.): If you find the Westminster Dog Show too stuffy and the Puppy Bowl too nerve-wracking, Hallmark Channel has an equally fluffy option for you. Rebecca Romijn and Rich Eisen host the first American Rescue Dog Show, which will see all kinds of adorable shelter dogs compete for the title of “top dog” in categories like “Best In Wiggle Butt,” “Best In Senior Dog,” and “Best In Snoring.” Some of these pups will even find their forever homes, which officially sets the stakes for this contest much higher than any other dog show.
Regular coverage
DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow (The CW, 8 p.m.)
The Alienist (TNT, 9 p.m.)
Wild card
Precious Puppies (Netflix): We’ve decided on a theme, and we’re sticking to it. Consider this the hairiest of slow TV offerings.
