Quentin Tarantino has written a script for a Manson Family movie
Quentin Tarantino has reportedly started work on his latest—and possibly penultimate—movie. That’s per The Hollywood Reporter, which notes that the Hateful Eight director has started to put the wheels in motion for a film about Charles Manson and his murderous followers. According to THR, Tarantino is currently putting the ”finishing touches” on the script—which will apparently focus at least in part on the 1969 murder of actress Sharon Tate—and has reportedly approached Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lawrence as possible stars.
As recently as last year, Tarantino repeated his promise that he’s quitting filmmaking after his tenth movie; presuming it goes forward, this Manson film would be his ninth. The current plan is for filming to take place some time in 2018.
