Apparently, the belated praise of a colleague wasn't enough to save the venerable syndicated movie review show At The Movies. As tweeted earlier this evening by original ATM co-host Roger Ebert (and then later by current co-host Michael Phillips), the series has been cancelled, and will cease airing new episodes at the end of this season, in mid-August. So enjoy it while you can, film buffs. It's the passing of an institution.
