Cyd Charisse has died at the age of 86. A dancer and actress, Charisse is best known for a string of musicals that stretched only as far as Singin' In The Rain in 1952 and Silk Stockings in 1957. As runs go, it was short but remarkable. Charming as an actress, Charisse danced like nobody else. The New York Times has a nice obit. Below is one of Charisse's most famous numbers, dancing opposite Fred Astaire in the Vincente Minneli-directed The Band Wagon.
