The Associated Press is reporting the death of Jonathan Winters—the comedian whose bottomless grab bag of manic improvisations and zany characters became an inspiration for generations of acolytes like Robin Williams, and found him fame in movies and TV shows such as It’s A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World and Mork And Mindy. According to TMZ, Winters died last night of natural causes. He was 87.
