Radiohead releases the final video short in its Moon Shaped Pool series

According to Pitchfork, Radiohead has released its final short video in a series of “vignettes” accompanying music from the recently released and frustratingly non-hyphenated A Moon Shaped Pool. For the series, the band has worked with several celebrated directors, including Yorgos Lanthimos (helmer of The Lobster) and Ben Wheatley (High-Rise).

The final vignette comes from Grant Gee, perhaps best known for directing Meeting People Is Easy, a 1998 rock documentary about none other than Radiohead. Shot in Port Talbot, Wales, the lonely, industrial visuals of the vignette complement the meandering piano and echoing laughter of “The Numbers.” The video feels simultaneously like an embrace of blue-collar living and a creepy Eraserhead-like immersion into the machinery that is perhaps more representative of a community than its people.
