Radiohead (sort of) released some new songs

Radiohead has released some new music—sort of. Granted, the new tunes are ambient, instrumental cuts available only via the band’s PolyFauna app. But hey, new Radiohead songs!

Earlier this year, Radiohead introduced PolyFauna, described by frontman Thom Yorke as something that came “from an interest in early computer-life experiments and the imagined creatures of our subconscious.” At the time, the app’s images were just synched to songs from The King Of Limbs, but a recent update yielded not only the aforementioned new tunes, but also new images and conceptual sketches from producer Nigel Godrich, Radiohead artist and pal Stanley Donwood, and digital arts studio Universal Everything. Some fan-generated audio of the tracks is below, as is some of the art featured in the app.

Radiohead is due to enter the studio this month to work on the follow-up to The King Of Limbs.
