Radiohead to take over Colbert, New York City next week
It's a rare occurrence for Radiohead to make an appearance on American television. It's also rare for The Colbert Report to run for an hour and focus on just one guest. Which is why Sept. 26 will be like Haley's Comet, a lunar eclipse, and a new Scott Walker album all rolled into one: Radiohead will appear on a special hour-long Colbert Report and perform four songs from this year's The King Of Limbs and a new song, "The Daily Mail." Colbert says he plans on "leveraging their anti-corporate indie cred to raise brand awareness for my sponsors.” We're laughing already!
Radiohead appears to be making the most out of its visit to New York City: The band will also perform on the season premiere of Saturday Night Live on Sept. 24, and play two shows Sept. 28 and 29 at the Roseland Ballroom. Tickets go on sale Sept. 26.
