Rage!: Carly Simon sues Starbucks

Upset with the handling of her 2008 album This Kind Of Love, Carly Simon has decided to sue Starbucks, the New York Times reports today. Why Starbucks? Simon alleges the album tanked thanks to poor handling by the coffee giant's much-ballyhooed, now-defunct Hear Music label. It's an interesting piece, touching on what it takes for veteran artists to stay afloat in today's troubled music environment and Simon's financial woes. Seems she hoped the album would be her ticket to retirement, which now seems further away than ever. So if you see the '70s icon singing "Anticipation" on a street corner, please be kind.
