Raising Hope becomes the first new show of the fall to get a full season

One of the few breakout hits of this otherwise dreary, dead-on-arrival fall season, Fox sitcom Raising Hope has become the first new show to be gifted with a full series order. The network ordered another nine episodes today, extending the comedy about a twentysomething slacker and his charmingly crass family trying their best not to kill a baby to a full 22-episode run. Noticeably absent from Fox’s press release was any word on Raising Hope’s Tuesday night partner, Running Wilde, which remains under the gypsy curse laid on Mitch Hurwitz’s clan generations ago.
