Rapper quits metal tour due to hostile response
Self-styled "death rapper" Necro has parted ways with Sounds Of The Underground–a national package tour stacked with metal acts like GWAR, Shadows Fall, and Lamb Of God–after facing "hostile, disrespectful" crowds that included "a ton of emo kids [that] booed us at every show." Necro, who has collaborated with metal bands in the past, said of his SOTU trouble: "It's just a shame these little kids are so close-minded. The majority of the hate was coming from mop-top emo 16-year olds who have no clue who the originators of metal are and didn't respect my rest-in-peace chant to metal legends (Dime, Cliff, Chuck, Piggy, SOB)… We finished every show with middle fingers up and a big 'fuck you' to the crowd."
