Ratings report: Inexplicably, America was really excited for Once Upon A Time
Proving that what everybody really wanted was a return to the days when The Wonderful World Of Disney ran Sundays at 7, Tim Allen was the biggest star of them all, and that rapscallion Bill Clinton was running around with his pants off, Once Upon A Time debuted to the biggest demo ratings for any new ABC series and the third-biggest demo numbers for a new show this season, behind only CBS' 2 Broke Girls and Fox's New Girl. The series debuted to a 3.9 in the demo and 12.79 million viewers. The ABC series it topped? Last Man Standing, which opened to 13.19 million viewers and a 3.6 in the demo a couple of weeks ago (though it fell off a bit in week two). Just what prompted America to tune in for a drama with production values that look to be directly out of the game Myst? We can only assume the nation at large, like us, sees Ginnifer Goodwin and is compelled to obey.
