Read this (or don't, whatever, we're too cool to care): It's the NYT article about hipsters that everyone's talking about (or whatever)

In case you, like, read, or whatever, or like care about stuff, or like, want to be part of the cultural conversation, you might want to check out the New York Times piece "How To Live Without Irony," which had the Internet all a-flutter yesterday. Here's a tiny, out-of-context sentence to whet your appetite: "Listen to your own speech. Ask yourself: 'Do I communicate primarily through inside jokes and pop culture references?'"

In the interest of heartfelt sincerity and honesty, I will offer these non-ironic opinions:

— I thought Cloud Atlas was fantastic.

— The new Evens record is the best one yet.

— I absolutely love watching Sons Of Anarchy.

— This New York Times article about hipsters strikes me as fogey-ish and insipid.

— Argo was pretty good, and so was Skyfall, but neither blew me away.

— I love my wife and son wholeheartedly.

— I work with a great group of passionate people who sometimes speak in pop-culture quotes but rarely sport ironic mustaches; I would still love them either way, because they are nice people, not broad stereotypes.
