Reality show villain parlays minor celebrity into White House gig
Following in the footsteps of her television mentor, Donald Trump, Omarosa Manigault has parlayed an appearance on a semi-trashy reality TV show into a job at the White House. According to sources quoted by CNBC, Manigault—who served as the candidate’s director of African-American outreach during the Trump campaign, and later as a member of his transition team—has been hired for a still-unnamed position in the Trump administration. This will actually be the second time the reality star has worked in the White House; before her turn toward TV infamy, she worked as a scheduling correspondent in the office of then-Vice President Al Gore.
