Recoil in horror at the new John Travolta/Olivia Newton-John Christmas video!

John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John are, by all rights, professional entertainers with a long and distinguished history together. So why does the amateurish new music video for the duo’s “I Think You Might Like It” look like it was cranked out in a matter of hours on a budget of several dollars by the same production company that put out the viral-video-seen-round-the-world for "Friday" by Rebecca Black?

Like the cover of the Travolta/Newton-John Christmas album, it’s unsettling and viscerally disturbing in a way not often seen outside J-horror shockers and the films of Lars Von Trier. Maybe it’s the weird line-dancing, matching red Christmas sweaters, surreal take on heterosexuality, or John Travolta’s seemingly Sharpie-d on hair (can someone please start a Kickstarter to buy Travolta an expensive toupee befitting his status and wealth?) or the way he now seems to be doing a creepy, patently convincing impersonation of a human being, but “I Think You Might Like It” rivals Aphex Twin’s “Come To Daddy” as the single most disturbing music video ever made.
