Regina Hall and Andrew Bujalski talk Support The Girls, and the fantasy of Hooters

Andrew Bujalski’s delightful new comedy, Support The Girls, goes behind the curtain of a fictional Hooters-esque “sports bar with curves,” the aptly named Double Whammies. The film follows general manager Lisa, played by Regina Hall, as her optimism toward her job is continually tested over the course of one trying day. At the premiere, we spoke with Bujalski, Hall, and co-star Haley Lu Richardson about the film, and the big, weird, uniquely American fantasy behind a restaurant like Hooters.
