From Pitchfork: Along with unleashing a gothtacular video for the dark new song "Light," Interpol has announced a new release date of September 7 for its self-titled album on Matador. Previously the album was to set to drop on September 14—the same day that Blonde Redhead will release its latest full-length, Penny Sparkle on 4AD. Pitchfork posted an MP3 of one of the disc's tracks, "Here Sometimes," last week, and it's way more sparse and synth-heavy than 2007's 23.
