Renaissance man Vin Diesel is making an EDM track with Steve Aoki
In the Fast And Furious and xXx movies, Vin Diesel plays a perfect man who is good at everything, but we have yet to see if that universal excellence can transfer to real-world accomplishments beyond his acting career. As far as we know, he’s never proven that he can save the world with extreme sports or drive cars through the air between two skyscrapers in real life, but the real Vin Diesel is now taking a step toward proving that he’s as good at everything as the guys he plays in the movies. According to a long profile on Diesel from the Los Angles Times, he’s been working on a “monster” EDM track with DJ Steve Aoki, and he seems very confident that it’s going to be just as huge as anything Dominic Toretto or Xander Cage ever did.
Diesel himself does vocals on the song, and though the L.A. Times writer didn’t actually get to hear it, the song is apparently so good that Diesel cried when he played it for his girlfriend. To reiterate: Her reaction to the song was so intense and powerful that it made him cry, not her. Can you even imagine a song so good that you cry when someone else hears it? “Hotel California” isn’t that good. “Stairway To Heaven” isn’t that good. Not even “Call Me Maybe” is that good. Essentially, what we’re dealing with here is a song that’s so amazing that it might literally change everything we know about music.
Unfortunately, that’s all we have to go on at this point, so we’ll just have to keep living our lives with the knowledge that Vin Diesel’s ultimate song is out there, waiting to bring true peace and joy to the entire world.
